This book of poems, written by Gábor Nógrádi under the pen name of Anna Moll, has been published four times since 1990.
The book has stories about dogs and cats and various other animals living in an American town recalling how they lived and how they died. These monologues reveal the history of the town.

The poems have proved popular in Hungary with both children and adults and the collection is illustrated with sand pictures by the animation director and graphic artist, Ferenc Cakó.
